Maxxis Rambler [Gen.2] (Pair)

Maxxis Rambler [Gen.2] (Pair)

Rambler [Gen.2]

The Rambler is a true gravel all-rounder. Its high volume provides noticeably more comfort, while closely spaced and angled center knobs ensure excellent rolling resistance. Off-road, the open side knobs offer improved control and reliable cornering grip.

Generation 2 features the new HYPR-X rubber compound, which combines the best of HYPR road bike rubber and MaxxSpeed MTB rubber. The Rambler now rolls 25% lighter and offers 19% more cornering traction compared to the DUAL compound.

New materials in the 120 tpi casing maintain the same weight while increasing puncture protection under the tread.

The new hotpatch design adds a modern and stylish visual touch to the tire.

Technologies:

EXO Protection

This extremely cut- and abrasion-resistant material protects the sidewalls of various MTB and gravel tires, as well as some Metro models. It is very densely woven, yet lightweight and highly flexible. Therefore, the tire performance remains consistently excellent.

Tubeless Ready (TR)

Tubeless tires on bicycles offer many advantages. You can ride with lower air pressure, resulting in better traction; rolling resistance is lower than with inner tubes; and using sealant instead of a tube significantly reduces the risk of punctures, as small holes are simply sealed. In mountain bike competitions, tubeless tires are now almost exclusively used, and their use is also steadily increasing in road cycling.

HYPR-X Compound

HYPR-X is the result of years of development and combines the best properties of the HYPR compound from road bikes and the MaxxSpeed compound from the MTB sector. The result: 25% less rolling resistance and 19% more cornering traction compared to the previous DUAL Compound.
